SANRAL Road Safety VR Pop-Up Activation // Vryburg, North West Province01 / Road Safety Campaign Brief
Don't text & drive.
It can wait.
We assisted SANRAL (The South African National Roads Agency) with an energetic public road safety event in Vryburg in the North West Province of South Africa. SANRAL held the activation to emphasize the critical importance of road awareness and educate people on being safer on the roads.
We provided SANRAL with Oculus Go virtual reality headsets and an immersive road safety 360° video showcasing the critical importance of not texting while driving and keeping your attention on the road.
When people put on a VR headset, they only see what you want them to see for the 2–3 minutes they are immersed. Unlike a background video playing on an exhibition stand where passers-by barely notice it, virtual reality commands 100% attention — ensuring participants truly absorb and remember the message.

The 360° film places participants inside a moving vehicle to experience the split-second consequences of diverting attention to a smartphone.
Zero Peripheral Distractions
Unlike a TV screen that blends into booth decor, VR commands the viewer's complete field of view, maximizing cognitive message retention.
Standalone Oculus Go Fleet
Wireless, lightweight headsets allowed rapid onboarding and smooth queue flow in a high-traffic pop-up gazebo setting.
Trained Activation Crew
Our professional VR event crew managed hardware charging, sanitary hygiene protocols, and post-experience debriefs.
